Umera Ahmed’s “Meri Zaat ZarraeBenishan” is a book featuring three separate stories. The first one is “Meri Zaat ZarraeBenishan,” followed by “Jo Ik Subha Ka Sitara Hai,” and finally, “Aao Hum Pehla Qadam Dhartay Hain.”

This novel highlights the harsh realities of society, emphasizing how women frequently become their own greatest enemies. It is very unusual for jealousy and hatred to push a woman to extremes. Every story stands alone, unrelated to the others. According to the start, the focus here is on ordinary people and the day events they face.

These stories serve as mirrors in which readers may see aspects of their own lives mirrored back at them. The first story centers on Saba, her unchanging belief, and her eagerness to forgive. Afreen appears as another important character in the story. He accepts Saba as his wife, over his mother’s objections. Not unexpectedly, his mother kicks Saba out of the family home and tries to ruin her image. Despite everything, Saba remains patient and resilient, her trust in the Almighty firmly grounded.

As the story finishes, Afreen decides to marry her son to Saba’s daughter. Then, on the wedding day, Afreen leaves the house after learning a shocking truth about her mother. Fortunately, Afreen’s son caught up with her. What about the consequences? They marry and have a happy life together. It’s difficult to put this book down midway. Umera Ahmed’s lovely writing has a way of drawing us in. Give it a read and discover what happens in this intriguing story.

Writing a story is very easy. If you are literate and have a pen, and you live in the world, you can write a story anytime. As for whether the story is good or bad, it is not decided by you but by the readers, i.e., other people. A story that seems less true is good, and a story that seems like a story is bad.

“Meri Jaat Zara Be Nishaan” is her first book, and the stories included in it. Whether some of my early writings are good or bad, I don’t know (for I have always read them with partiality), but one thing is certain: I assert that I thought them and wrote them.

For me, these three stories are like the first step of a child, and even the first step of a child is not balanced, smooth, and stable, but without taking the first step, it is not possible to walk. There is nothing special in these three stories, but sometimes. Also, “ordinary” things should be seen and evaluated. Some “ordinary” things and things help you become very “special”.
