Harf se Lafz tak
In this post we will share another fantastic writing by your favorite writer. Harf se Lafz tak (حرف سے لفظ تک) is written by Umera Ahmed. It is a collection of favorite quotes from her novels. Her writing style is captivating, and she spins a novel plot
that keeps the reader engaged. She is a famous Urdu novel and
screenplay writer from Pakistan. She writes novels on fiction,
non-fiction, romantic and spiritual novels. She also got pride in her
performance.
She is writing Harf se Lafz tak to introduce you to fiction, but to introduce you to her favorite quotes from all her writings so far. Over the past few years, whenever she have met one of her readers or read a letter or email from them, there is one thing she have always felt strongly about.
Everyone writes or recites a quote from one of her writings which is his favorite. This habit of readers is interesting and common, and it made me re-examine her writing to find out what her favorite passages were.
There are some sentences which she felt proud that she had written and some sentences which she did not believe that she wrote. And some phrases that she read to overcome depression.
You will be surprised to know that she often forget the sentences she has written, and a fascinating incident related to this happened last year when she was writing Wajood e Laraib for Sakina Samu.
After two or three months of writing the script of the drama serial, she was talking to Sakina Simu on the phone and during that conversation she said to her, Sometimes just looking at someone is enough. She immediately cut them off.
What a wonderful sentence, Sakina, where did you read it, or who said it to you? There was complete silence on the telephone line, then after a few moments, Sakina was talking to her, she said incredulously! You don’t know? No, Umera said fluently. This is a sentence written by you in a scene of Wajood-e-Laraib.
Umera said at that time we both laughed, but she was embarrassed for a long time thinking what she would have thought. Maybe she don’t even recognize her burns. But the passages you are reading in this book right now are not only her favorite but also thought-provoking. She didn’t write everything well, but she tried to write a few very well.
And the last interesting thing. While collecting quotes from this book she realized that her favorite and your favorite quotes are almost the same. So this choice is yours and mine’s.
You may also like other novels by Umera Ahmed some of which are Dana Pani, Peer-e-Kamil, La Hasil Novel, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Aao Pehla Qadam Dhartay Hain, Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan (Stories), Aab e Hayat. As it is not a novel but special quotes from all of her novels.
Some others are Iman, Umeed Aur Mohabbat, Qaid e Tanhai, it’s a written drama. Also enjoy novels of new writer Aileen Noor Mann Mayal Novel.
