The story is complex but when you read the novel, you will get more understanding of the novel. This novel is also covering the huge topic of ways of earning. How, your halal means of income can bring you haram income just because of choices, and how from haram means, you’ll earn halal? This book is about forfeiting you between the two and then finding your way back to Sirat al Mustaqeem (صراط المستقیم)۔

You can’t leave the novel in between because Umera Ahmed knows to bind the readers with her magic words. Let’s explore after reading the novel. It is a very compelling story that engages the reader until the very end. Umera Ahmed’s writing style is captivating, and she spins a novel plot that keeps the reader engaged.

The verse on this canvas was surrounded by a strange light.  Words were like lights, letters were like pearls and Arabs were shadows like clouds. Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth.

That old hand was engaged in the calligraphy of these verses on the canvas.  The same light that was the guru halo of this verse.  She was also encircling that hand, but the hand was not stopping.  The blue veins on the wrinkled skin were as obvious in that light as anything seen on an X-ray. He was walking without hands, like an expert in his work.

Someone in the air started reciting that verse in his very beautiful voice.  A very charming heavy clear, yet sweet masculine voice that moves the heartstrings straight from the eardrums like the strings of a harp.  That voice was not only reading the part of the verse that was on the canvas, but the whole verse.

Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth.  The example of His light is as if there is a niche in which there is a lamp, and the lamp is in a lantern, and the lantern (is so transparent) as if it were a shining star like a pearl.

An auspicious tree oil is burnt in it.  (That is) the olive is neither towards the east nor towards the west (it appears that) its oil is ready to burn even if the fire does not touch it.  The (great) light is the light. Allah guides whomever He wills with His light, and the examples Allah sets forth are for the people (to explain), and Allah is All-Knowing. (Surah Al-Nur (35))

On my side

Reading this makes you stop and recall what you’re doing in life. How easily we switch from the original purposes of our life and fall into the ring of self-importance. I think this is the purpose of the book.
