In this novel, the search for heaven is not the search for any garden, any tree, any door. It is the search for a person’s inner truth that takes him out of the meaninglessness of this world and leads him to his true direction, i.e., nearness to God.
Every love, if it is pure, brings the One on the Throne closer. This novel is a battle between man’s darkness and his light, and heaven is the place of that battle, where man finally makes peace with himself and turns towards God.
I have written this novel in search of that hidden light, so that I can show that man can light a candle of light even in the darkness of his mistakes. “Heaven” creates an image, curiosity, and attraction in the reader’s mind as to how this story is connected to “peace, happiness, or paradise.”
I did not name my novel “Heaven” just like that… While writing the name, I did not have just one word in mind, but a whole world.
“Heaven” for me is not just paradise, it is a goal, a journey, a search. We all live with our own share of mistakes, wounds, and desires… and along these paths, somewhere or other, we find a place where the heart finds peace, the soul finds freedom from the noise, and man can stand with his truth, his origin, his intention.
“Heaven” is a place that is not outside, but is created inside. That which is not found, but earned. That which slowly descends into the heart after a relationship, a promise, a sacrifice, or a repentance.
I wrote “Heaven” because somewhere inside every character in this novel, there is a door, even closed, even silent… and that door opens only when a person recognizes himself. Mistakes, loves, weaknesses, and truth all combine to create the path to “Heaven.”
